I recently discovered something awesome: Victoria’s Secret now has fitness apparel. Did you guys know this? I didn’t!

Above outfit: Knockout Crop in Cold Mountain Glow in the Dark (!) and Seamless Tank in Black Melange (<—on clearance right now)
When Victoria’s Secret reached out to me about trying their sport apparel and promoting an awesome new years deal they’ll be running starting on January 7th (more on that in my follow up post – stay tuned, because it’s AMAZING), I was intrigued. I had a feeling their stuff would be cute, but would it be functional/comfy?
Well, good news: it’s not only insanely cute, but it’s also really comfortable and high quality, too. In fact, I already fell of my new kick scooter (amateur hour over here – don’t worry, I’m a pro now though) and skidded on the pavement in the tights pictured below (the Knockout Tight in a Limited Edition print called “Icelandic Scenic” – LOVE), and there’s not even a scratch on them. Impressively durable. 🙂 I’m now coveting the tights in the limited edition “Incan Geo” print – so fun! (The tank is the Ultimate Racerback Tank, which I was also a big fan of.)
Why are their workout pants/crops so great, besides being cute? The fit is perfect, the fabric is really soft and wicks sweat, and they stay put when you move, most importantly. They also have a nice and high (but not awkwardly high) waist, so you aren’t flashing everyone your underwear while doing squats or downward dogs.
As for the sports bras, I am absolutely in love with the Lightweight by Victoria’s Secret Sport Bra. This is seriously the most comfortable sports bra I’ve ever found, while still being fitted/functional.
It’s made of a nice mesh material, and it has molded cups inside (NOT the stupid inserts that fall out in the wash and get bent and weird) built into the bra, so it contours you nicely without flattening you out.
Considering Victoria’s secret is known for their regular bras, it’s no surprise that their sport bras are just as good – they use the same fit technology used to construct their regular bras, and the sport bra collections are sized to fit like a normal bra (e.g. instead of just buying size medium, you’d get your actual bra size – 36B, for example, which gives a more accurate fit/better support). I like the crossed back, too. The straps are adjustable – thumbs up.
If you’re more well endowed than I am, they have a ton of more structured (but still really cute) sports bras for you guys, too. Check them out – you can search specifically by size so you get what’s best for you without sorting through all the others. Also: until 1/20/16 you can get free shipping on orders over $100 – use the code FREESHIP100.
Bottom line: would I spend my own money on Victoria’s Secret’s Sport clothes? Yes, I would. I was given a stipend for the two tights and the sports bra, but I loved their stuff so much I bought the two tanks on my own dime. And I’m planning on taking advantage of the awesome deal I’ll be sharing with you guys this week, too. 🙂 Stay tuned!
