It’s especially perfect for summer, but can definitely be eaten year-round.
Feel free to use any fruit you like. The yogurt honey lime dressing is the key! But it’s always best to use fresh, in-season fruit if possible. And the more fruit variety you use in your salad, the better!

Fruit Salad With Yogurt Dressing
I love the tart-sweet flavor that the yogurt honey-lime dressing adds, and how flexible this recipe is! It’s definitely become my favorite addition to a brunch spread and a great dish to bring to a potluck picnic.
Fruit salad is always a hit, but this lightly-dressed up version is even more popular. And, it’s much healthier than fruit salads drenched in heavy whipped topping or tons of sugar. Why would you want to hide all that yummy fruit flavor, anyway?!
It’s so quick and simple to put together, too!
Start by cleaning and cutting up your fruit (except the berries). Place into a large bowl. Make sure the larger fruit is all cut into bite-sized pieces, otherwise the fruit salad will be difficult to eat.
Then, in a smaller bowl, use a fork to mix together the sauce: yogurt, honey, lime zest & juice. Lastly, drizzle over the fruit and toss until combined and evenly coated. Yum!
(Keep in mind, if you aren’t serving the fruit salad right away, I recommend waiting to add the dressing. That way, the fruit won’t get soggy.)

Best Fruits for Fruit Salad
Of course, the best fruits for fruit salad are whichever ones you like best! I also try to use fruit that’s in season, since it’s usually more flavorful.
Whichever fruit you choose, make sure it’s fresh. Frozen fruit doesn’t work very well in fruit salad. It can get mushy and watery.
Here are some fruits that go really well in fruit salad:
- Pineapple
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Grapes
- Mango
- Canteloupe
- Blackberries
- Kiwi
- Mandarin Oranges (or regular oranges cut up small)
- Honeydew
I also love bananas, but they can brown quicker than other fruits. So if you make your fruit salad ahead of time, consider adding those right before you’re ready to eat/serve.
You can even throw in some granola for crunch, or sprinkle some unsweetened shredded coconut on top for an extra bit of flavor!
