Hello from Philadelphia! 🙂
Leaving D.C. right in the middle of rush hour was probably a bad idea… but 4 hours later, I finally made it here and just had a delicious dinner with the girls 🙂 It’s so great seeing them all again!
Jenna and I couldn’t believe the last time we saw each other was New Years when I was out visiting her in California! (Check out this post for a funny photo collage of how we became friends, heh!)
Jenna, Sabrina, Tina, and I were invited to have a complementary blogger dinner at Pizzeria Stella in the Old City area of Philadelphia.
It was absolutely amazing and the staff were all really friendly. Major thank you to them for the great experience!
I started with the Roasted Beet and Arugula Salad, which came with orange, shaved parmesan, and freshly cracked black pepper. It was SO delicious! The peppery arugula paired really nicely with the dish.
For our main course, the four of us shared three pizzas. We started with their classic margherita pizza, which was topped with tomato, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves. Mmmm! I am obsessed with all things tomato, so I loved this!
For our second pizza, we got more adventurous and ordered the pistachio pizza! I know, pistachio on pizza?! Sounds weird, but it was awesome!
In addition to the pistachios, it was also topped with fontina cheese, red onions, and olive oil. Delish!
And lastly, we ordered the “Tartufo” pizza, which was topped with parmesan cheese, fontina, black truffle, and egg (!!):
I loved all the unique topping options at Stella! This pizza was also delicious — they even spread the over easy egg on the pizza tableside!
Yum! I love eating with other bloggers because it’s not weird to take photos of everything 🙂 Check out Tina’s face in this photo — heh! She’s so into it!
We’re off to bed — we have a fun day planned in the city tomorrow! Check back to see what we’re up to 🙂
Goodnight!
