Hello friends! We have had SUCH a fun day here in Philly 🙂
Heh. Aren’t jumping photos the best?
But before I get to that — I have a big announcement:
I WON!!!!
Thanks to all of your support, I was one of the lucky three bloggers voted to take a trip to Vermont with Stonyfield in the last weekend of June, and my chosen charity, Girls on the Run, will receive a $5,000 donation on my behalf! I am so excited for this opportunity. We will be touring organic dairy and veggie farms to learn more about why eating organic is important, both for ourselves and the planet. I can’t wait to share what I learn with all of you!
Check out the Stonyfield website for videos from myself and the other 2 winners (congrats Tina and Valerie!) about why we are excited to go on this tour, and thank you all SO much for voting and spreading the word about the contest. It means so much to me to have gotten your support and I’m honored to be one of the winners!
…
Anyway — back to Philly! Like the good little healthy living bloggers we are, this morning Jenna, Tina, Sabrina, and I headed out for a workout!
Sabrina’s knee has been bothering her, and as you all know I have my first half marathon on Sunday, so the two of us opted to walk 🙂
Jenna and Tina ran!
We headed back to Sabrina’s afterwards for breakfast. She was pretty much the best hostess ever. Strawberry banana smoothies? Yes, please.
Fresh berries? Totally on board.
Toast with freshly ground peanut butter? Duh.
She even gave us each adorable little makeup/overnight bags complete with Kashi bars, toothpaste, and chocolates!
Thanks again Sabrina 🙂 You rock!
After breakfast, we did what any good food bloggers would do — headed out to eat more! 😉
We hit up DiBruno Bros, which is a fun gourmet market and grocery store, for lunch.
I got a random assortment of things from their prepared food section, all of which looked delicious!
I ordered a turkey burger:
(Mmmmm) And a delicious “Tomato Mozzarella Tower” on top of salad:
Delish!
I love Philly. It’s fun to be back!
We ended up in Rittenhouse Square for a post-lunch photo shoot 🙂
And then we jetted off to Phileo Yogurt for a fun blogger meet up! Thanks to everyone who came — it was great meeting all of you and I wish we’d had more time!
We just said our goodbyes to Sabrina (sad face) and now Jenna, Tina, and I are chilling at our hotel before heading to a cocktail party and dinner for the conference we are here for, sponsored by New Harvest!
We have an action packed day tomorrow, filled with presentations (including one from an RD — I’m excited!), a vegetarian cooking class, and more touring around Philly!
See you guys later 🙂 And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter — I’ll be tweeting frequently about our day tomorrow!
