Morning!
I’m dreaming of the beach and wishing I were still there. Let’s all live vicariously through this final day in OBX recap, shall we?
Wednesday started like the rest of my days at the beach earlier this week — sleeping in and a lazy breakfast, followed by a workout!
Similar to one of our workouts earlier in the week, Matt and I did an out and back run and stopped around the halfway point for a mini boot camp.
Our boot camp location was rather scenic. 🙂
We did a combination of push ups, sit ups, and dips. Quick and effective!
Workout — check! 3.6 miles total in 31:50.
While we’re talking about exercise, I wanted to give a little shout out to Champion for sending me some fun new sports bras a few weeks ago — they came on vacation with me and I’ve been loving them!
Champion is one of my favorite sports bra brands — over half of all the sports bras I own are made by Champion. They’re comfy, reasonably priced, cute, and supportive. Win! If you’re in the market for a sports bra, check out their new interactive Champion Sports Bra Finder — they ask you your size (in actual bra sizes, not S, M, L), desired support level, and preferred style, and then spit out bras that fit your needs! Pretty cool.
Anyway! After the workout, lunch, and a little wedding planning with Matt’s parents, it was time for one last afternoon at the beach!
I spent some time kickin’ it in the waves on an inner tube. So peaceful.
…Until I floated closer in to shore without noticing it and suddenly caught a MASSIVE wave by accident and rode it all the way into the shore!
Once I discovered how awesome the waves were, I clearly tried to catch more of them. 🙂
This picture is like Where’s Waldo — see me? 🙂
The rest of the gang joined me in the water shortly after these photos. It was the perfect last day at the beach! I dragged myself away and hit the road a little after 5 p.m. to make the trek back to DC. Wah!
Back to reality — I’m off to work! At least it’s already Friday. 🙂
Have a great weekend, friends!
What’s your favorite beach? I pretty much love all beaches (and went to some amazing ones while studying abroad in Australia back in college), but I think OBX might be my new favorite on the east coast — it was amazing, so peaceful and pretty! I also love Cape May, NJ, and I have a soft spot for Rehoboth Beach in Delaware because my family used to go there together when I was in high school!
