Welcome to my new blog location and layout! What do you think?? I’ve been hard at work this weekend fixing it up and am super excited to have my own domain and host, plus a new design. Yay!!!
So earlier this week, my friend Ben messaged me saying that if I wanted to switch my blog over to my own host and domain name, he’d be happy to help. I agreed that yes I was very interested! Ben and I went to high school together – his sister Jenny is my best friend from high school (and the girl whose wedding I wore the red bridesmaid dress turned Halloween devil costume for!) 🙂 He’s an awesome musician and has a couple bands at the moment – a solo music project and also an amazing 80’s cover band called Judo Chop that plays all over the DC area. So fun! Check out his solo site if you want some new music to download 🙂 I have a bunch of his stuff on my iPod and it’s great running music!
Anyway! He came over yesterday and we got to work 🙂

I made us lunch while we he was working and had a blast playing with his awesome new camera. He has one of the really nice manual digital ones with a really cool add on lens… I’m so jealous… I want one!
I made us whole wheat pita sandwiches topped with turkey, sliced zucchini and tomato, grated parmesan, spinach (added on later) and the special ingredient: my homemade spinach basil pesto! Check out the gorgeous pictures I took on his camera:
YUM!!! I heated them in my toaster oven for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese and they came out awesome.
Ben approved 🙂
We also had some clementines. I LOVE clementines 🙂 And I LOVE his camera!!!
I took some pictures of my Cranberry Quinoa Peanut Butter Power Bars, too. So purdy 🙂
I’m still making a few tweaks, but for the most part my blog is all updated!! Ben, thank you SO MUCH for all your help. Cookies will be delivered to you shortly 😉

Anyway! I hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was low key which was nice since the next few weekends will be very busy. It was GORGEOUS here in D.C. today, and I played tennis with a friend for the first time in ages! I used to play on varsity in high school, but totally never play anymore and have lost all my skill! Oh well 🙂 It was really fun to hit the ball around.
Okay, I’m off to hit the hay! Please don’t forget to update your Google readers using the feed: https://www.fannetasticfood.com/?feed=rss2. I don’t want to lose any of you in this transition!
