Hello, friends! I hope you’re all having a great day so far! I’m using the government holiday as an opportunity to see a bunch of my local AnneTheRD clients that normally need to meet outside of business hours. Perfect!
As for the weekend, it was nice and low key – Matt was out of town on a boy’s trip (in San Diego – so jealous), so I took the opportunity to get some serious work done and to have some fun exercise + food dates with friends. On Friday night, I had my high school buddy Hilary over for dinner.
She brought this beautiful salad with her – loved her wood bowl and utensils.
As for dinner, I made one of my “ready in minutes” favorites – Saucy Tomato & Artichoke Chicken. So easy and delicious!
We also enjoyed a glass of unpictured wine. 🙂 So fun to catch up with her!
On Saturday morning, I met my friend Karen for a coffee + walking date, and then, after catching up, we hit up the 10:30 a.m. power yoga class at Edge Yoga together.
I hadn’t been to Mark’s weekend class in a long time, and WOW. I’d forgotten how hard it is! We definitely got a good workout. Our arms were literally shaking by the end of it! 🙂
I was starving when I got home and threw together a big salad – arugula, string beans, peppers, feta cheese, quinoa, and some canned tuna mixed with homemade balsamic vinaigrette (olive oil + balsamic + dijon mustard + lemon juice). Delicious!
The rest of Saturday was spent getting work done – emails, and prepping for teaching at GW this week. The evening was capped off with a fun dinner out with my girl Gena – we hit up Duke’s Grocery in Dupont and I didn’t get any photos, but it was really tasty. Loved the ambiance/space, too!
I’ll be back tomorrow to share Sunday’s adventure – a 15 mile LA marathon training run. Have a great day!
