What’s so great about this homemade salad dressing?
While many creamy dressings are mayo-based, this dressing uses a protein-packed alternative: Greek yogurt! It makes the dressing super creamy and deliciously tangy, without it feeling heavy.
My favorite thing about homemade salad dressings is how easy they are to make! Plus, making your own dressings at home lets you control the ingredients, so you can leave out unnecessary additives like refined sugars and preservatives.
This Greek yogurt dressing is especially delicious in my crunchy broccoli cauliflower salad, but can also be used in tons of other ways! Toss it with your favorite greens, use it as a dip for crunchy veggies and crackers, or drizzle it over your favorite vegetable side dish.

Ingredients You’ll Need
You only need a handful of ingredients for this creamy lemon dressing:
- plain Greek yogurt (This is the creamy base for this dressing, without the need for mayo! Full-fat Greek yogurt will have the creamiest texture.)
- lemon (Lemon juice adds a bright flavor. Fresh is always best!)
- extra virgin olive oil
- thyme (I prefer using fresh thyme because fresh herbs have the best flavor. But if you only have dried thyme, you should use about 1 teaspoon. Or, feel free to swap this out for another herb, like rosemary or sage.)
- garlic (Fresh minced garlic is best, but if you’re really in a pinch, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder will also work.)
- salt & pepper (to taste)
How to Make Lemon Greek Yogurt Dressing

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl or cup, then whisk until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Then, drizzle over your salad or vegetables and toss until well-mixed. That’s it!
