As you guys probably know by now, for me fitness is all about keeping it fun and varied. Recently, I’ve been enjoying checking out some of the different yoga studios in the area with my friend Gena!
A week and a half ago we met for a noon power house class at a new (to me) studio in Dupont called Epic Yoga. Great name, right? Gena has been raving about this place so I was excited to check it out.
I love this board they have displayed when you enter. So cute (and good advice)!
The studio is gorgeous – spacious and welcoming, and I love the exposed brick wall look.
Here’s one of the yoga rooms – again, love the walls! I loved the power hour class we attended, too – it was taught by Mimi Rieger. Great class and a good sweat!
Epic Yoga offers drop ins for $18, but for newbies, they also offer a $20 week long all-you-can-yoga pass. Sign me up! A few days later, Gena and I hit up another noon power hour class, which was more low key but also good.
And on last Thursday night, I returned again, this time with Heather for a Barre Yoga class taught by Emma Saal, the studio owner.
The class was more yoga than barre, but it was fun to mix it up and Emma is great. Overall, I give Epic Yoga two big thumbs up. Cool variety of classes, beautiful studio, and not pretentious. Win! It’s a little pricey for me to make a habit out of going there, unfortunately, but I hope to work it into the rotation every once in awhile. 🙂
All this yoga also meant I got to try out some new gear sent to me this month by Reebok! Did you know they’ve started a line of yoga clothes? To make the Studio Collection yoga gear, Reebok partnered with Tara Stiles, the founder of Strala Yoga. Cool!
Reebok sent me the Yoga Capri Tight in black, the Yoga Tee in white, and the Yoga Short Bra in aqua vapor. Everything was REALLY soft, which I loved. Yoga felt so cozy! It all features their PlayDry technology to keep you dry and ventilated, too.
I loved the color of the sports bra – and the cute cut-out shape in the back!
They also sent me this cool Yoga Pocket Tank in white/coral. Love it!
I was a big fan of the gear – comfortable and it felt good during my workout, too. Just a heads up – it runs a little large, so you might want to buy a size down!
Hope you’re all having a great day! What fun workouts have you gotten in so far this week? I’m currently gearing up for a run with a friend – finally, the weather has warmed up and the sun is out! Can’t wait.
