Hello friends!
I hope you all had nice weekends! Matt and I were up in Irvington, Virginia (on the Chesapeake Bay) for a wedding!

Matt’s childhood friend Holly was the bride — she was living in DC when Matt and I first started dating in 2004, so I know her, too, and a bunch of our DC friends were in town, as well as Matt’s whole family!
It was a gorgeous weekend for it 🙂
We headed up on Friday for their rehearsal dinner BBQ — so delicious.
Both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception were held at the super cute Hope & Glory Inn, which the bride’s family owns. Jealous!
It was great seeing DC friends again! Here we are at the BBQ on Friday with our friends Tom and Janice:
The wedding wasn’t until 5:30 on Saturday, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine beforehand. I went for a 4-ish mile run on Saturday morning with Tom (he’s also a runner), then all of us headed out for a boat ride!
It was beautiful out!
We all had fun checking out our dream houses. If someone could please buy me the one on the right in the photo below, that’d be great 😉
The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the beautiful weather and having lunch at an outdoor tiki bar right on the water!
Fish tacos for the win 🙂
The wedding itself was great, too! Below we are outside the church with Matt’s younger brother, Drew (on the right), and older brother, Chris with his wife Jess.
Apparently I was too busy dancing up a storm at the reception to take any photos except for this one of their cake 😉
I’m not usually a big cake person but this was seriously the most delicious wedding cake I’ve ever had! They had a few different options — I had the coconut and it was sooo good. YUM!
Time to get back after it — we have our midterm exam this morning in our summer public health class! Wish me luck 🙂

p.s. Check out my latest Attune Foods guest post on listening to your body! Appropriate considering I just came off a week of travel and indulgent food. I’m excited to get back on the healthy eating and exercise bandwagon this week! 🙂
p.p.s. Do you guys remember Bailey, the graphic designer who created my fANNEtastic business cards? Well, she has just started a new weight loss blog! She’s been struggling with her weight for awhile now and has decided it’s time to take action, hoping that having a blog will help her to stay accountable and get healthy for good. I’d love if you guys headed over to her new blog and gave her some love, advice, and encouragement 🙂
