Hello, friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Ours was nice and low key – lots of errands, stuff around the house, some fun dinners out, etc. On Saturday, the weather was nice so Matt and I went for a 5 mile run together.
We hadn’t gone running together in forever! We like going to CrossFit together during the week, but as for running, Matt plays soccer a couple times a week on men’s leagues and isn’t really into long distance running, so on the weekends I usually meet up with friends for runs instead. It was fun to run together again, especially on such a nice day!
We ran 5 miles in 43:03, with an average pace of 8:36. Matt’s speedy because of all that sprinting during soccer games – at his encouragement we did the last mile at a 7:30 pace! And he was probably even faster than that because he was ahead of me. 🙂
The highlight of Saturday afternoon was meeting up with Ben and Taylor of Ben Powell Photography to get our wedding photo album and DVD of our final wedding videos! The album is absolutely gorgeous – we were both seriously impressed.
Look how thick those pages are!
I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when we signed up to get an album as part of our wedding photography package from them – I mean, I knew we’d get a cool album, but I didn’t expect it to be this nice! It’s seriously like an art book.
They did such an amazing job. As part of the package, we also got two smaller versions of the album (with thinner pages) for our families. Yay!
I was also really excited to get the rest of our wedding videos! Our video DVD even came in a cute little case.
There was an additional mini album with fun different photos in the inside pocket, too. Such cool extra touches. I was expecting just the DVD in a case – what a nice surprise!
As for the videos themselves – we were blown away and so, so happy we decided to go for the video package. A few months ago we received the overall 3 minute wedding highlights video and it’s amazing. The DVD that we received over the weekend has the addition of longer videos highlighting just the getting ready, ceremony, and reception portions of the day, plus raw video of the speeches during dinner and Matt’s epic guitar solo during the reception (he played with our band for a song). In addition, the videos include cute little clips from our wedding party wishing us well (some are sweet and some are hilarious – the perfect mix!) – I had no idea Ben and Taylor were even doing that! What a good idea and fun surprise. We’ll cherish these videos always – a huge thank you again to Ben and Taylor for doing such an amazing job. The DVD even has a main menu (complete with gorgeous photos and a background of our wedding venue’s lawn) so we can easily find the video we’re looking for.
If you’re looking for a photographer in the area, Ben and Taylor shoot weddings, engagements, parties, corporate headshots, family portraits, and more, and I would highly recommend them!
How was your weekend?
