Hello, friends!
Thank you so much for all your wedding registry advice! I read every word and found it all SO helpful. Matt and I are going to go register today and I feel much more prepared armed with all of your suggestions!
I’m continuing to enjoy my spring break here in DC. One of my vacation favorites? Getting to go running in the sunshine at 11 a.m. instead of in the dark at 6 a.m. 🙂
I headed out to my favorite trail (the C&O Canal here in DC) again this morning for a solo 4 miler. I stopped once to get some pictures for you all of my very favorite part of the trail.
Isn’t it beautiful? I love that part of the trail because the trees clear out and you’re surrounded by water — canal on the right, river on the left. It’s so gorgeous.
I had a good run — I focused on doing negative splits again, and it was a success!
Splits:
- Mile 1: 8:40
- Mile 2: 8:36
- Mile 3: 8:18
- Mile 4: 8:07
Total time: 33:43. Average page: 8:25. Yay!
Oh, and while we’re talking about splits and GPS watches — I would like to announce the winner of my New Balance GPS watch giveaway! Thanks to all who entered — there was a great turnout and I found it very inspiring to read about all of you training for races, getting back into shape after a hiatus, pregnancy, or injury, and just generally working on fitness. I’m proud of all of you — keep it up! I so wish I could give ALL of you a GPS watch.
And now — the winner is…
Commenter #190, Kadye!
Congrats, Kadye! Good luck with your second race — I’m sure you will rock it with the help of this new training tool! Please email me your full name and mailing address at anne{at}fannetasticfood{dot}com and I’ll send you your prize. 🙂
Have a happy Tuesday, friends!
