Hello, friends!
So, I was expecting to be buried under 10 feet of snow by this point but the DC area seems to have completely missed out on the big storm! Not gonna lie, I’m a little bummed. 😉 We did get some snow today, but none stuck and it quickly turned to rain. Oh, well!
I got in a nice run yesterday in the sunshine because I knew today I wouldn’t want to be out and about. I didn’t bring my camera, but I did a fun spur of the moment workout so I decided to make it into a Pinterest (connect with me there!) worthy image for you guys. 🙂
As you can see, I ran 2.5 miles, then stopped and did three rounds of a little mini strength workout (using a bench for dips), then repeated for a total of 5 miles and 6 rounds of the strength circuit. Curious what the “Eagle Ab” is? Click on the link to see one of my super old posts – from 2009 – with photo-by-photo instructions of the move. It’s a good one!
Know what’s also good? Tuna on top of pasta salad.
I had this for lunch yesterday; it’s a variation of my Tuna & Veggie Pasta Salad, but instead of using Greek yogurt and Dijon mustard, I mixed the tuna with hummus, guacamole, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Try it – it’s delicious!
Back to work! I have a few more things to finish up before bed. I’ve been busy this week with some freelance writing assignments as well as my new nutrition counseling private practice, which is exciting! I “saw” (via Skype) my first client today and have a bunch more lined up for the next couple weeks. I’m so happy to finally be doing what I set out to do nearly 4 years ago!
Have a great night, everyone!
